About this title.

An easy to follow guide to help ESOL students get to know their host family; what to say, what to ask, even when to ask it. Host families get to join in and get to know their boarder better too. Interaction between student and host family forms part of the work students participate in, in this resource. This guide with informative teachers' notes and accompanying worksheets encourages conversation, and helps develop vocabulary and practical knowledge around topics that students may need in their daily lives in this country. This has been trialled with ESOL students over the past 2 years and has been a hit with the students who will do simple tasks such as using the telephone with confidence.
