About this title.

Every year, on the first Monday in June, we enjoy a holiday to celebrate the birthday of the British Monarch. Even though the current monarch's birthday is in April it has been a tradition in Britain and New Zealand for over 100 years to celebrate the birthday of the King or Queen in June. This book provides a background to Queen's Birthday celebrations and to New Zealand's historic relationships with the British Crown.
