The Pre-Literacy Screen teacher manual is designed to be used in conjunction with the phonological awareness 5 step pre-literacy process but can be used independently to establish a profile. The screening tools track the acquisition of each of the skills syllable segmentation, rhyme identification, initial sound knowledge, saying hearing identifying and identifying sounds in CVC words. The manual includes detailed test description, administration instructions and procedures for scoring and interpreting the tests, sheets that support test items and student record forms. Everything required to complete the screening. Designed by a speech pathologist the tests take no more than 2 minutes to administer.
