About this title.

The partnership between teachers, parents, and students, and what do they hear, share, do and need when engaging in such a partnership? This significant study by NZCER researchers, documents the findings from their exploration of the literacy partnership between the school and parents. Questions such as forming meaningful partnerships, expectations, perceptions, what useful information for parents, strategies, are just some of the many questions raised in this report. The report highlights themes emerging from the study, in order to help schools build successful partnerships with parents, and to involve parents in their children's schooling in a positive, meaningful way.
