About this title.

Develop students' knowledge of many of the small animals around them through these hands on activities. A wide range of activities have students initially exploring their own yards or the school yard to see what small animals they can find. Students learn a little about spiders, insects and some of the other small animals eg slaters, centipedes, dragonflies, hedgehogs that they find and how they are different, where they live, what they eat, how they protect themselves eg through camouflage. These activities will help to develop a good foundation of knowledge about small animals and get students wanting to do more. Suitable for year 1-4.
