  Healthy Thinking

Are unhealthy emotions and unhelpful attitudes present in your school?

Do they add stress and affect the culture and learning environment?

Now you can do something about them!

De-stress yourself and/or your school now – it’s as easy as ABC!

Healthy Thinking is a course of training that is transforming workplaces across the world. Developed by doctors, including creator Dr Tom Mulholland, psychologists and educators, Healthy Thinking for schools now offers your school the tools to teach staff to manage their own emotions and attitudes, and then to teach their students those skills.

When staff can manage their own emotions and attitudes using a common language that can be shared between staff and students, you’ll see a positive impact on everything.

Healthy Thinking for schools fits with the key competency – managing self and will raise the mana of staff and students alike.

Healthy Thinking is a vehicle to discuss the hard stuff – with yourself and with others. Now you can create a happier, healthier school by dealing with what has for too long been ignored – the emotional and attitudinal self.

Healthy Thinking is exclusively distributed to schools through Curriculum Concepts.

So what is Healthy Thinking?

Healthy Thinking is a fun and engaging online course (with support resources available) that contains a set of tools you can use to:

- learn about your emotions and attitudes and how they operate,

- measure, change and re-measure your emotions and attitudes as you progress,

- change your emotions and attitudes; change the actions you take and the consequences that arise from them.

In independent research one year after doing the course, 92% of trainees found the Healthy Thinking course effective or very effective at work and home. The research also showed that 75% of people said that it had created long-term positive behavioural change at work and home and all of these believed that this change would be permanent.

Like to learn about Healthy Thinking for your own personal growth and wellbeing?

The two ways of learning how to become a Healthy Thinker as an individual, are either to read the two books by Dr Tom Mulholland, the Healthy Thinking founder: the first book Healthy Thinking, and the second, The Power of Healthy Thinking or if you prefer a more interactive experience, enroll for the Online Healthy Thinking Course The online course normally takes between 2 and 4 hours, but can be completed over time and used and re-used, over and again. The course includes helpful emotional and attitude diagnostics directly pertinent to yourself, including the full online Attitude Profiler psychometric which will give you a personalised readout of your attitude state, offer helpful remedies, and allow you to re-measure over time as you learn to become a healthier thinker over time. Enrolling for Online Healthy Thinking Course is the recommended option

Like to learn about Healthy Thinking? Would you also like to involve and coach others in your school as well?

Creating a Healthy Thinking culture in an organisation can be achieved by all staff completing the Online Healthy Thinking Course. However, things are rarely that simple. Global Research shows that staff left to their own devices will often not engage fully with the online learning that is provided. To ensure buy-in and engagement the Healthy Thinking Facilitator Guide Kit has been developed. The Kit includes 5 logins to the Online Healthy Thinking Coaching Course and a wide range of support materials and resources to support a person coaching a group through the course over five guided meetings, started by an introductory DVD and with physical resources to reinforce key ideas. (Time span is adjustable to suit the organisation.)

This kit is ideal for use by principals, DPs/APs, team or syndicate leaders with all staff or teams.

Larger schools that are already using Healthy Thinking are finding this Guided Facilitation useful to train an early-adopter team – often the senior leadership team – prior to training the whole staff. In this manner, there is a range of assistance available within the organisation for those who face challenges along the way. The follow-up training of the rest of the staff can either be done using the same kit with larger groups, or multiple kits can allow facilitators in various parts of the school to lead training groups.

In smaller schools, the kit, which can be used to train 5 people, can be augmented with additional logins and resources to allow for a group of 6, 10 or whatever number is required. See Healthy Thinking Trainee Packs In very small schools, the 5 trainees allowed for in the kit can be used to train staff, teacher aides and BOT personnel if desired.
