About this title.

In this resource we look at New Zealand's history and the cultures that have settled here from the coming of the Maori to the most recent immigrants. Cultural groups included in the book as well as Maori and early European settlers are the Australian, Pacific Island, and beyond the Pacific peoples, the latter including a range of cultural and religious festivals that are likely to be represented in our schools such as Chinese, Indian and Jewish. There is also some background information on culture and issues that immigrants face. Suitable for years 4-8.
