About this title.

Using small contracts of 6 questions the Big Book of School Journal Units 2010 explores the stories, articles, plays and poems found in Parts 1, 2, 3 and 4 School Journals 2010 (available in schools from Learning Media). Excellent as mini contracts for students or for you to use orally to test the close reading skills of students after independent reading.

The questions in these contracts not only cover the different levels of comprehension but link to the English strands of the current curriculum document, e.g. making text to self connection, text to world connection etc. In each question 'set' there are four comprehension type questions, one thinking skills question and one activity. 

All activities are referenced with an easy-to-follow symbol that indicates readability. The contents are listed firstly according to Part and School Journal and then a second contents lists each one by readability, making it easy to choose the appropriate activities. Suitable for all ages.
