About this title.

This set of six original pieces of text features adult-oriented topics, written using simple sentences at an approximate reading age of 5 years, gradually increasing in length and complexity to a reading age of 11. Comprehension activities accompanying each piece of text incorporate literal, inferential and evaluative questioning modes. The resource is appropriate for adult literacy tutors to use with learners - adults requiring assistance to advance their literacy skill. Activity pages are photocopiable.
